Breeding

As the country of origin of this race, Japan is the determining factor for the standard which contains the for the race typical characteristics.

As active breeders we are anxious to reach this ideal which runs from the phenotype to the desired features, but health, ability and the credibleness of the character are always in the foreground of our desires.

Current FCI-Standard

The current F.C.I. Akita standard assigns the Akita to the F.C.I. group number 5. Nordic sled-, hunting-, guardian- and herdingdogs and the european and asian spitzes belong to this group.

This standard is the guideline to which we as breeders adapt to in choosing our breeding dogs to reach the breeding ambition and to breed dogs which are optimal in phenotype and character.
